Flowers

Outdoor — Visiting

  • From March 1 to November 30 — Only fresh, cut flowers that fit in Burial Park approved vases are permitted on graves and memorial sites. Artificial flowers, potted plants, other tributes or adornments that do not comply with this rule may be removed without notice.
  • From December 1 to February 28 — Artificial floral tributes, small seasonal displays along with fresh, cut flowers that fit in Burial Park approved vases are permitted on graves and memorial sites.
  • March 1, Spring Clean Up — In preparation for the trimming and mowing season spring clean-up of artificial and seasonal tributes commences on March 1. Items that are in reasonable condition may be recoverable by families.Recoverable items are held for on-site only until the end of April.
  • Woodlands Natural Burial Zones — the placement of temporary floral tributes, adornments, etc. of any type are not permitted — at any time. Only authorized, indigenous plant materials are permitted in Woodlands zones. All planting of the Woodlands site is done under the direct supervision and authority of the Burial Park.
  • Deer — Our large population of resident deer are flower “gourmets”. It is not uncommon for the deer to eat an entire floral tribute within hours of the flowers being placed on a grave site. The deer will often bite off only the bloom of the flowers leaving just stems behind.

Indoor — Mausoleum Visiting

  • Only artificial floral tributes placed in approved crypt and niche vases may be placed indoors at the mausoleum.
  • Cut flowers and plants are not permitted indoors at the mausoleum — at any time — and will be removed immediately without notice.
  • Floral tributes or personal adornments that infringe on adjacent memorial sites or are offensive to community standards in any manner may be removed by the Burial Park without prior notice.
